15,500 s.f. Practice, ASC & Physical Therapy

The existing, 6,500 building was originally built at the turn of the century to house a brewery. Later it was converted into a fraternity house and after that it was retrofitted to accommodate the practice of the orthopedic group. We remodeled the existing practice and x-ray in order to add more clinical space. We also added on a two operating room ambulatory surgery center as well as additional business office space. Being a brewery, the basement was originally used for the storage of beer kegs and consequently contained a large, limestone, barrel vault. We incorporated this area along with a small addition on the lower level to accommodate the physical therapy space.
